SEASON FEES
Your total registration may include fees from Jazz Basketball Club, Logan Basketball, Basketball Queensland and Basketball Australia.
Jazz Club Fee: $92.70
Logan Basketball Association Fee

U12–U14 – $319.52
U16–U18 – $332.80
U19 – $353.60
Basketball Queensland Membership
12-month membership. The applicable fee will be added during registration if your child’s membership is due for renewal.
Basketball Australia Game Development Levy: $5.50 – 12-month levy, where applicable.

Can I pay by instalments?
Registration can be paid upfront or by instalments where this option is available through BasketballConnect.
Can I use a Play On! voucher?
Yes. Eligible Play On! vouchers can be used towards registration.
Play On! vouchers can be applied through BasketballConnect. If you experience any issues applying your voucher, please contact Jazz before completing your registration.
If paying by instalments – please email your voucher to Jazz to receive a discount code.
REGISTRATION
CURRENTJAZZ PLAYERS – Current Jazz players are given priority for the new season and should register by the advised deadline to guarantee their place.
NEW PLAYERS – New players should contact Jazz before registering, as places are subject to team availability.
Trials will be held for selected age groups to assist with team placement for the new season.
Families required to attend trials will receive details including the date, time and location.
Jazz aims to accommodate as many players as possible while maintaining appropriate team sizes.
If an age group is full, new players may be placed on a waitlist and contacted if a position becomes available.
TRAINING & GAMES
Training
Jazz teams train on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (U10s,U12 Boys, U14 Boys, Junior Girls) afternoons. Exact training times and venues depend on team and coach availability and are confirmed once teams are finalised.
Games
Saturday: Thunder 10s, U12 Boys, Junior Girls and U14 Boys
Friday: U16 Boys, Youth Girls and U19 Boys
Monday: U23 Boys & Girls
Fixtures, venues and game times are published through BasketballConnect.
Games are played across Logan Basketball competition venues.
Depending on the competition and fixture, venues may include Cornubia Park Sports Centre, Shailer Park SHS Multipurpose Building or Mount Warren Sports and Fitness Centre
Your BasketballConnect fixture will show the correct venue, court and game time for each round.
Game times vary each week and are determined by the Logan Basketball fixture.
Families should check with their team manager or BasketballConnect for their team’s current game time and venue.
UNIFORMS & EQUIPMENT
All Jazz players require the current Jazz playing jersey and shorts.
Uniforms can be ordered through the Jazz online shop.
Every player must have their own basketball to bring to training and for pregame warm up on game day.

Uniform try-on opportunities may be offered before the beginning of the season.

PLAYER & TEAM INFORMATION
Players must register in their correct age group.
Playing up may be considered depending on the player’s circumstances, team requirements and availability, and must comply with Logan Basketball competition rules.
Teams are formed based on a number of factors including player numbers, age, ability, team balance and the appropriate competition division.
Where trials are held, player performance at trials will also assist with team placement.
Jazz aims to place players in teams and divisions that best support their development and provide an appropriate level of competition.
You are welcome to let us know about friend requests.
We will consider requests where possible, particularly in development and lower divisions, however team placement cannot always be guaranteed as teams also need to be balanced appropriately.
COMPETITION RULES & POLICIES
Jazz Basketball participates in competitions administered by Logan Basketball.
Players, coaches, team officials and spectators are expected to follow the applicable competition rules and codes of behaviour.
Representative players are subject to Logan Basketball’s player movement and competition rules.
These rules may affect the division in which a representative player is eligible to play and the number of representative players permitted within a team.
Please refer to the current Logan Basketball Junior Club Playing Rules for the full requirements.
Any game-day issue, complaint or protest should be raised with the appropriate Jazz club official or team coach.
Where required, the matter can then be raised with the Logan Basketball Game Day Coordinator in accordance with Logan Basketball procedures.
Issues should be raised on the day wherever possible.
Jazz expects players, coaches, officials and spectators to show respect towards teammates, opponents, referees and volunteers.
Basketball Queensland and Logan Basketball codes of behaviour apply to club competition.
COACHES, MANAGERS & VOLUNTEERS
Jazz relies on volunteer coaches, team managers and scorebench helpers to support our teams throughout the season.

Coaches and team managers must meet the applicable Blue Card and child-safety requirements before undertaking their role.
Jazz will provide information to volunteers about the required process.
Yes. Logan Basketball provides development opportunities for coaches, referees and scoretable officials throughout the year.
Upcoming courses and development opportunities are communicated through Logan Basketball and Jazz club communications.
We highly encourage all Jazz coaches to join the Logan Basketball Coaches Club.
The Coaches Club provides coaches across the Logan Basketball community with access to coaching resources, drills, development opportunities and information to support both the technical and mental side of the game.
It is also a great way for our coaches to stay connected with Logan Basketball and help keep our coaching aligned with the wider association.
